Noida: A 31-year-old IT professional who was relocating to Pune from Noida was duped of all his belongings worth more than Rs 12 lakh as the movers and packers allegedly disappeared with them. After waiting for more than two weeks for his stuff to reach Pune, he reached out to the Noida and Pune police only recently demanding a probe into the matter. As per the complainant, he had found the service on a search engine which offered to get the job done for Rs 61,000.
The techie told news reporting agency PTI that all his household items – the furniture, electronics, certificates, documents etc. that were loaded on the truck were scheduled to reach packers and movers in Pune within two days, i.e. on October 28. While his family and he had reached Pune already, they waited till November 2 for the shipment to arrive post following which they approached the police.
