If you are looking for some inspiration for cards you can make with the kids, here are some great Father’s Day card ideas:
1. I Love Hangin’ Out with You
Here is how to go about it.
What You Will Need
Paint, brown
Squeeze paint, green
Paper, light brown
Googly eyes
Glue
Black felt pen
Heart stickers
How to Make
Help the kids paint their palms and four of their fingers brown. Do not paint the thumb.
Press the handprint onto a blank sheet of card paper.
Using the brown paper, cut out a head, a pair of ears and a tail and stick the head where the thumb would have been.
Stick the ears and the tail and then paint the face and nose onto the monkey.
Stick the googly eyes.
With the green paint, have the kids make some tree branches.
Use the heart stickers for fruits hanging on the tree.
Write “I Love Hangin’ Out with You” on the card.
2. I Love You Berry Much
Here is how to go about it.
What You Will Need
White card paper
Black marker
Purple, red and green paint
Small paintbrush
How to Make
Mix the purple and red coloured paint together. You need to aim for a rich raspberry tone.
Have the little ones dip their little fingers into the paint and start printing out the shape of a raspberry.
With a brush and the green paint, make the leaves and stem of the fruit.
To give it a 3D effect, take some purple paint and lightly go around the individual prints.
Write “I Love You Berry Much” on the card for Daddy.
3. My Best Teddy Bear
Here is how to go about it.
What You Will Need
White card paper
Black marker
Brown paint
Googly eyes
Blue ribbon bow
Paintbrush, soft blending brush
How to Make
Dip your little one’s foot in the brown paint and then make an imprint on the paper.
Using a paintbrush, blend the print out so that most of it has brown colour. Don’t be rough as you do not want to smudge the print.
The heel will be the head, so paint the ears on the heel.
Stick the googly eyes at the appropriate place and draw the nose and mouth.
